Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso says Alejandro Garnacho is likely to leave Stamford Bridge this summer, confirming several clubs have expressed interest in the Argentine winger as the Blues reshape their squad ahead of the new Premier League season.

Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso has confirmed that Alejandro Garnacho is expected to leave the club during the summer transfer window, revealing that there is significant interest in the Argentine winger from several clubs.

Speaking at his first press conference as Chelsea boss, Alonso acknowledged the speculation surrounding Garnacho's future and indicated that the player could be on his way out as the club continues its squad overhaul ahead of the 2026/27 Premier League campaign. "There's interest in him," Alonso said, adding that he expects a resolution to the situation in the coming weeks.

The 22-year-old endured a difficult campaign last season, struggling for consistency and failing to cement a regular starting role. Chelsea are reportedly willing to listen to offers of around £42.5 million, with several European clubs monitoring his situation.

While Alonso appeared resigned to Garnacho's departure, he struck a different tone regarding midfielder Enzo Fernández, insisting he wants the Argentine international to remain at Stamford Bridge despite reports linking him with a move away. The Spaniard stressed that his discussions with Fernández would remain private but reiterated his desire to build the team around committed players.

Alonso, who recently took charge of Chelsea, also outlined his ambition to restore the club's competitiveness after last season's disappointing league campaign. He emphasized the need for hunger, discipline and a clear playing identity as the Blues prepare for the new season.
