Candidates seeking admission into the 78th Regular Course of the Nigerian Defence Academy have been advised to note the new date as the Cross River State Government reschedules the screening exercise to avoid a conflict with the JAMB mop-up examination.

The Cross River State Government has announced the rescheduling of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) Screening Test for candidates from the state seeking admission into the NDA's 78th Regular Course.

According to a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Anthony Owan Enoh, the screening exercise, which was initially scheduled for Saturday, June 13, 2026, will now hold on Saturday, June 20, 2026, beginning at 7:00 a.m.

The government explained that the adjustment became necessary because the earlier date coincided with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) mop-up examination, creating a potential scheduling conflict for candidates expected to participate in both exercises.

Authorities noted that the change is intended to ensure that eligible applicants can sit for both examinations without inconvenience or disadvantage.

Candidates have been informed that the screening venue remains unchanged and should refer to details previously communicated by the NDA through email, SMS notifications, or the academy's application portal.

The state government urged all affected candidates to take note of the new date and make adequate preparations ahead of the exercise, while advising those requiring further clarification to contact the Office of the Secretary to the State Government.
