Nigerian singer, Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, popularly known as Mayorkun, says he will conduct a DNA test before accepting any child as his own.
The singer made the disclosure during an appearance on the In My Opinion podcast, where he discussed relationships, marriage, trust and paternity.
Mayorkun said he had already informed his girlfriend that he wanted a prenuptial agreement before marriage and a DNA test whenever she gives birth.
According to him, his girlfriend was upset by the proposal, but he maintained that he would go ahead with the plan.
The singer also revealed that he had considered conducting the test without informing his partner, saying that if the child is confirmed to be his, there would be no issue, but if otherwise, the matter would become public.
His comments have sparked renewed discussions online about paternity, trust and DNA testing in relationships.
