The Management of the University of Calabar wishes to inform members of the University community that June 12th, 2026 has been declared as a public holiday to mark the 2026 Democracy Day.
A release signed by the University Registrar, Dr. Mrs. Chukwuka I. Icha states that the declaration is predicated on a Federal Government directive.
This is even as staff on essential duties have been directed to continue in the performance of their duties as scheduled.
The Ag. Chief Security officer is also expected to ensure that adequate security coverage is maintained on campus during the holiday period.
