Arsenal F.C. have lifted the Premier League trophy for the first time in 22 years, ending a long wait for league glory and crowning a remarkable campaign under manager Mikel Arteta.
The Gunners sealed the title after closest rivals Manchester City F.C. dropped points earlier in the week, before wrapping up the season with a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace F.C. at Selhurst Park on Sunday. Goals from Gabriel Jesus and Noni Madueke ensured Arsenal signed off their title-winning campaign in style.
Following the final whistle, captain Martin Ødegaard lifted the Premier League trophy before jubilant supporters as players and staff celebrated the club’s first league crown since the famous “Invincibles” season of 2003/04.
An emotional Arteta praised the resilience of his squad after years of near misses, with Arsenal having finished runners-up in the previous three seasons. Star winger Bukayo Saka said the triumph proved critics wrong and marked the beginning of a new era for the North London club.
The triumph also represents Arsenal’s 14th English top-flight title and Arteta’s biggest achievement since taking charge of the club in 2019.
